Collection of gardens for a Medieval village house in one of France’s Plus Beaux Villages
Working with gardens for a 14th century barrister’s house required a light sensitive touch. The result of two years of re-design and renovation is a series of rose filled hidden terraces and fig and vine draped enclosures, which lead to an informal lawn planted with lichen clad apple trees. The final reward is eventual arrival at the banks of a cooling meander of the river Auvézère at the bottom of the garden.
